Sunday 17 November saw Diss MCC run the Muntjac Enduro, the final round of the 2024 ACU Eastern Enduro Championship. Sunday’s weather was perfect with the forest tracks drier than for many years.
Peppers Farm experienced an early shower dampening the dry stubble and ploughed farmland and the lingering low cloud greeted the competitors out on the course for the first 3 laps of this championship time card enduro.
Sudbury MCC hosted the penultimate race in the series at Peppers Farm and welcomed some new faces who certainly added to the excitement of the day.
The confidence of the brave stalwart committee of the Sudbury MCC deciding to go ahead with this long standing fixture at Pebmarsh in light of low entries and a poor turn out to some recent Enduro events encouraged a last minute flurry of entries to ensure a decent field competed in this fourth round of the Dave Barkshire 2 man Eastern Centre Enduro Championship.
On a perfect hot late summers’ day, a testing track with dry hard fast grassland with a new quarry style section gave the field a chance to test their skills over a mixture of terrain with sharp inclines and steep descents.
