At the last N&SJMCC event in August the club did some drug testing on riders and their entourage/group, one of the persons in the entourage/group was found to fail the test, and all of them were asked to leave the event.
This is something that the Eastern Centre Mx Sub Committee whole heartily agree with and support, going forward more clubs will be adopting this approach and will do testing at events.
Off road motorsport is dangerous and we do not need the added risk posed by riders or their entourage/group being unfit through drink or drugs when competing.
ACU Rugby are also continuing to send Anti-Doping Control Officers to ACU permitted events to carry out random testing.
