Sad passing of Russell,"RH" Moye.

The Woodbridge MCC reports the sad passing of long serving club director, Russell Moye.

Following a lengthy illness, Russell passed away in the early hours of Saturday (11th February ).

His involvement in the sport of motocross spanned over 70 years, and he was a keen follower from grass roots of the sport, to World Championships, which saw him travelling all over Europe, even including Brazil, and the Motocross of Nations event in Australia.

He was one of the early pioneers of the Norfolk and Suffolk schoolboy club, working with the likes of the late Dave Bickers and Bob Harvey, and others who were responsible for introducing the sport to countless hundreds of youngsters, and later took over the role as their chairman.

RH then joined the Woodbridge club, and being a first class welder/fabricator, designed the startgate at Blaxhall, which impressed the then ACU motocross committee, so much so, it was then copied by many other clubs in the UK.

He was made a director of the Woodbridge club, and served on the committee for many years.

The club extends their sincere condolences to his wife and to his five children.
