With more and more people accessing the internet and emails it became clear that we needed to completely rewrite the coding for our website from the ground up.
Obviously this needed to be carried out on the live site, hopefully without losing data or causing too much disruption. This has been a major operation, that has already involved me in over 150 hours work. Thankfully, I think I have broken the back of the transition, and I hope that our mobile users find accessing the site a better experience.
There is still a fair bit to do, and I have some exciting changes planned that will enable others to update areas of the site in my absence. I will be contacting the various sporting committees to outline these opportunities very shortly.
It would be great to get a few more reports from events, and if they have some photos, so much the better. If I don't get it, I can't publish it.
